interface translations invitation

Dear Iceflow, thank You for contacting me, here are the promised informations about where (and how) to translate the interface:

The interface translations should all be done on betawiki: only, it is the place where all languages are updated and translated from. If You are interested in helping with the translations for Tok Pisin, please register an account, create a userpage and go to betawiki:Betawiki:Translator and You will be granted translator-status immediately.

For translating please set Your language to the language You want to translate (tpi) in the preferences and then go to betawiki:special:translate, there You can choose the most used messages, which I would recommend to start with.

The benefit of translating at betawiki instead of locally is that the translations will be available in all tpi-projects and in all wikimedia-projects in the user language settings. (see also betawiki:Translating:Intro)

As an Administrator, you are allowed into #wikimedia-admin, the cross-wiki coordination channel for Wikimedia administrators. Any member of the channel can invite you in temporarily, but you need an invite exemption from a channel operator to get in whenever you want. Please come to #wikimedia and ask for an invite.

Any admin from any project is welcome and it is a good place for cross-wiki coordination of vandal and spam fighting. It is also useful for new admins to contact more experienced admins in real-time to get help with the more complicated admin tasks such as history merges/splits and importing via Special:Import.

Bot thing

I saw your message at my talk page. Why are you asking bot operators who are editing at the moment? Seems like a complete waste of time. If a bot hasnt used it's flag for 2 years, just deflag it. We have lots of wikipedia's (200+) if every wiki would start doing this i would be flooded with these kind of request. You might want to implement global bots here btw? (or did you already do that). I'll make it easy for you:

We have this request >>> Wikipedia:Haus_bilong_toktok#Localized_logo so that we can have a localized logo, instead of one in English, and I can't figure out how to word it, so I was hoping you could... Also, My tok pisin is not improving a great deal, and some of the notes I post to people probably make very little sense, yet I don't like to use English unless I really have to. I could actually use another admin here, and wonder if you would be willing to go back to administration here please? Gadgets

I noticed that there are no gadgets in the Tok Pisin Wikipedia, as opposed to many other Wikipedias. Gadgets such as HotCat could make categorization a lot less tedious than it is now, and I am sure there are other useful ones in there as well. I hope you can add this feature to the Tok Pisin Wikipedia with the permissions you have as an administrator. Protected pages

Could you remove the "cascading" protection from the Fran pes? The problem is that there are interwiki conflicts that cannot be fixed by bots because they cannot edit templates that are used by the Fran pes (thus the "cascading protection").
